I entered this world 12/16/1955. Clean slate ready to write my story. I was blessed with great Parents. They cared for me. Life is good.

I h,had a wonderful childhood. Some bumps and bruises along the way but we learn from that. Relatives were my first friends. They will always be.

I was raised catholic and this is where my morels were learned. Mom and dad showed me the way through their examples.

Neighbors were next on the list. The close ones we never forget. The first things we learn influence the rest of our lives. How to get along with others. How to do for ourselves. Robert Fulghum said it well.

“These are the things I learned (in Kindergarten):

  1. Share everything.
    2. Play fair.
    3. Don’t hit people.
    4. Put things back where you found them.
    5. CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS.
    6. Don’t take things that aren’t yours.
    7. Say you’re SORRY when you HURT somebody.
    8. Wash your hands before you eat.
    9. Flush.

And more.

We learn as we go. Book learning comes through school. We learn reading, writing and arithmetic. This lets us communicate with the world. We learn how it works and what to do in it.
