Me-Time

Someone asked me. So now you are retired you will have a lot of me-time. Yep. They said time all to yourself to do what you want.

Got me to thinking. Me time is a matter of perspective. Some think me-time is just you doing what you want. For me, I think of me-time as doing what I want with family and friends. I’ve looked forward to spending time with them doing whatever comes along.

Sometimes it might just be cooking for the family. Sometimes it might be cutting the lawn or working on the cars. Honey do list that has built up over the years. Watching my new grandson while Grammy does laundry.

When I get into my crafts, bladesmith, leather, woodworking, writing, self-defense or the outdoors. It is enjoyable because it is what I want to do. It is like getting paid t play. My pay is the enjoyment I get. If someone is interested in what I’m doing I love to share. If I don’t share it dies with me.

Sure I will go fishing, hunting, or hiking. Whether alone or with others It will always be Me-Time because it is what I want it to be.
